A Family Story
In 2013 Thomas Drischel left his position as General Manager of the department store Galeries Lafayette to fulfill a lifelong dream: to bring his own personal touch to men’s and women’s style and elegance. By creating Robert Kerr, a brand dedicated to made to measure clothes for men & women, Thomas rejuvenates a refinement inherited from his grandfather Robert Kermabon (1921-2009).
In the 1950’s this former sailor who was always keen to explore new avenues and meet others, decided to follow a career as a master tailor in the prestigious house of Hogg’s & Son located at 35 Sackville Street, just 2 streets from the famous Savile Row, and was determined to dedicate his life to sublimate fine cloth designed for demanding gentlemen.
Throughout his life he shared his passion for style, noble materials and his precious craftsmanship with his grandson, whom he introduced to tailoring. He never dreamed that the latter would create the brand Robert Kerr half a century later, demonstrating that luxury and elegance are synonymous with authenticity, passion and tradition.
